Suggestions for space-enhancing objects

Homework

This course isn’t just about watching videos.  It’s about making real changes in your life.  :-)

Post on the Facebook group when you’ve completed these things so we can celebrate with you.

1.)  Create an altar in your home.  Use some of the suggestions in the video.  The altar can be either simple or elaborate.  It’s up to you.  If you feel inspired, take a picture of your altar and post it on the Facebook group!

2.)  Is there anything you can do to enhance the front entrance to your home?  Perhaps put plants near the door, either indoor or outdoor.  Other options can include wind chimes, a water fountain (indoor or outdoor), a statue, or other sacred objects.  Even one object intentionally placed can make a big difference.  For your homework, please make one adjustment/improvement to your front entrance.

3.)  Clean up the clutter in your home.  Don’t worry, you don’t have to finish it all at once.  Depending on your style, you might want to tackle one corner, or perhaps do an initial sweep through your entire home.  Even if you de-clutter just a small area each month, eventually you will have made big progress.  Create a plan for how you’d like to de-clutter.

In this video, I show you one of my basic altars.  This particular altar is where I currently sit for meditation and prayer.

Note:  The lighting isn’t perfect, but I know you’ll still get some good ideas from the video.  :-)

Bonus Video #2—Maya’s Altar #2

In this video, I show you one of my bedroom altars.  The purpose of this particular altar is to have a space for sacred objects to bless the space where I sleep.

Note:  The lighting isn’t perfect, but I know you’ll still get some ideas from this video.  :-)

Bonus Video 3—Sacred Objects in Maya’s Home

In this video, I show you examples of some sacred objects around my home, including the areas of my front door, bathroom, kitchen, and healing room, including my bell fountain.  This is a casual video--the lighting isn’t perfect, but I know you’ll still get some inspiration and ideas.
